This weekend, October 24th & 25th, our charming Tuscan village comes alive to celebrate one of the region’s most precious treasures: the white truffle!

Two days filled with delicious local food, Chianti w**es, olive oil, traditional markets, cooking shows and authentic Tuscan flavours. 🍷🧀

🍷 Did you know that one of Tuscany’s most iconic w**e bottles has its roots in Valdelsa?

Meet the fiasco: the famous round w**e bottle wrapped in straw, once found on tables and in cellars all across Tuscany.

But that straw wasn’t just decoration! It protected the glass from bumps and helped shield the w**e from sunlight.

From Renaissance tables to traditional Tuscan trattorias, the fiasco became a true symbol of Italian w**e culture.

And here’s a funny twist: in Italian, “fiasco” also means failure!

Some traditions, however, deserve a second chance.

It’s been ages since I last posted a photo of myself here, so… hello again!

Still here at Borgo La Casaccia. A little older, a little greyer, and still happy to call this beautiful corner of Tuscany my everyday office.

(Full disclosure: I asked AI to give me a nicer shirt for the occasion. Apparently, it’s easier than going shopping... )
