Happy International Women’s Day 🌼

Here in Puglia there’s a beautiful tradition: on March 8th, women receive a small bouquet of bright yellow mimosa flowers. You see them everywhere — in cafés, markets, and in people’s hands walking down the street.

This tradition started in Italy in 1946, when activists chose the mimosa as the symbol of the day because it blooms right at the beginning of March, grows almost everywhere, and was affordable for everyone after the war. Its bright yellow color represents strength, resilience, and the arrival of spring — a perfect symbol for celebrating women.

So today we celebrate women with sunshine in flower form 💛Buona Festa della Donna!

We offer two cozy living spaces where you can cook your own lunch or dinner. Host a pasta night, open a bottle of wine, pretend you’re the chef of the evening (even if you’re just stirring the sauce) 🍝👩🏻‍🍳

There are plenty of wonderful restaurants nearby ready to spoil you.
