Blue, white, yellow with a touch of lavender - a palette made just for this celebration. Hydrangea, delphinium and nigella, some sourced locally, some grown in our garden. The lavender comes from a Stainless Steel rose grown by us, and it smells as wonderful as it looks.

With an iPhone in our hands, we become creators — just like the artists in our residency.
A summer at Villa Lena is many things — grapes sunlit and bursting with sugary juice, a butterfly drifting into a flower-arranging class, the curious making of art objects, pasta shaped by hands both yours and the artists’, fingers moulding something new. A joyful row of sunflowers, an unexpected performance from a guest who has travelled far. No two summers are ever the same at Villa Lena.
It’s easy to catch the best moment: whether it’s an emotion, a sun ray on a freshly made ceramic vase, or a bumblebee on its way to the flower orto. 🌻

Based in Zurich, Yael works at the intersection of art, design and visual storytelling. Her practice spans analogue illustration, objects and spatial works, often exploring the relationship between design and everyday life.
