We are thrilled to welcome Rotterdam-based architect Matthijs de Boer to Rastrello for the opening of his exclusive exhibition: “The Italian Sketches.”

For over 30 years, Matthijs has traveled across Italy with his faithful Visconti fountain pen, capturing the “Genius Loci”, the unique spirit of a place. From the peaks of Alto Adige to the sun-drenched landscapes of Puglia, he finds beauty in the ordinary and captures the essence of the Italian atmosphere in black ink.

Today, we’re sharing a glimpse into Nonna Aurelia’s kitchen. Her Spaghetti with Perch and Leeks is a tribute to Lake Trasimeno. As Aurelia says, the sweetness of the leeks is the perfect match for the delicate fish.

Nonna’s Golden Rule: Use Prosecco, not just any white wine. And since you only need half a cup for the sauce... well, we highly recommend chilling the rest of the bottle to enjoy with your meal!
