Il Borgo Lu Puleu è un autentico villaggio rurale che affonda le proprie origini nel XVIII secolo. Il borgo è costituito da uno sparuto gruppetto di case basse, in pietra, alternate a piazzali di diverse dimensioni, cortili, e giardini per lo più ricoperti da un rigoglioso manto di prato sardo (rustico), interrotto e protetto da muretti a secco e monoliti di pietra lavorati dal vento, oltre che d

a vegetazione spontanea tipica della macchia mediterranea. Il borgo sorge in cima ad una collina (circa 500 metri sul livello del mare) che guarda ad est, verso il monte Limbara e le sue incontaminate vallate, e ad ovest verso la valle del fiume Coghinas che corre come uno specchiato serpente verso il mare, e quindi l'infinità di quest'ultimo dove si vede calare il sole in un tripudio di colori.
