Chapter Four: Montepetriolo.

This time, we don’t need to go far. Borgo dei Conti is part of Montepetriolo, a tiny hilltop village where time still follows a different rhythm.

Our bartender and photographer Sergio, who has called Montepetriolo home since May, describes it through its bells, ringing every fifteen minutes:

“I don’t use clocks. I simply count the chimes. Coming from Milan, listening to a single bell brought me back to a sense of reclaiming my own time, slow and quiet.”

Chapter Three: Fontignano.

Just 15 minutes from Borgo dei Conti, Fontignano is a medieval village shaped by centuries of history.

Once a place of hospitality for travellers, it later became a fortified castle, whose walls and towers can still be seen today. It was also here that Pietro Perugino spent his final days in 1523.
