Un arco di mattoni, una salita stretta, e il borgo che si chiude alle spalle. Il Castello dei Vicari a Lari custodisce ancora le vecchie prigioni e gli stemmi dei vicari sulle pareti, e dalla torre si vede tutta la Valdera. Un quarto d'ora da Camugliano, e la sera si torna al silenzio della tenuta.
A brick archway, a narrow climb, and the village closing in behind you. The Castello dei Vicari in Lari still keeps its old prison cells and the vicars’ coats of arms on the walls, and from the tower the whole of the Valdera opens out below. A quarter of an hour from Camugliano, and by evening you’re back in the stillness of the estate.
