Immerso nella Val Ombretta, raggiungibile in circa un'ora e mezza e con un dislivello di 470 m.

Si parte da Malga Ciapela, arrivando a Malga Ombretta e proseguendo ancora per poco fino ad arrivare al centro della vallata.
Proprio lì, si erge un totem in legno in cui il comune di Rocca Pietore ha segnato i punti cardinali e le coordinate geografiche dell'esatto centro geografico delle Dolomiti Unesco

Nestled in Val Ombretta, it takes about an hour and a half to reach, with an elevation gain of 470 m.

The hike starts at Malga Ciapela, continues to Malga Ombretta, and goes on a short distance further until you reach the center of the valley.
Right there stands a wooden totem pole on which the municipality of Rocca Pietore has marked the cardinal points and the geographic coordinates of the exact geographic center of the UNESCO Dolomites.

Reaching this spot serves as a quiet reminder of just how lucky we are and how rare the beauty surrounding us truly is.

📍 𝐑𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐠𝐢𝐨 𝐎𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫, a pochi passi dall'Hotel Albe.

Si parte da Malga Ciapela, si sale fino a Malga Ombretta e si prosegue fino ad arrivare al Rifugio, situato a 2074 m.

630 metri di dislivello tra pareti verticali, pascoli di alta montagna e il silenzio della Val Ombretta. Se sarete fortunati, potreste avere la compagnia anche di qualche marmotta. 👀

La salita dura circa 2 ore, a metà del cammino potrete fermarvi per una sosta a Malga Ombretta, dove potrete assaporare formaggi, panna, yogurt e altre sfiziosità di produzione locale.

Un trekking per chi vuole immergersi davvero nel cuore delle Dolomiti, respirare aria fresca e ritrovare lungo il cammino un po' di quella pace perduta.

📍𝐎𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐮𝐭, just a short walk from the Hotel Albe.

The hike starts at Malga Ciapela, climbs up to Malga Ombretta, and continues on to the mountain hut, located at 2,074 meters.

A 630-meter elevation gain through vertical cliffs, high-mountain pastures, and the silence of the Ombretta Valley. If you’re lucky, you might even be joined by a few marmots. 👀

The ascent takes about 2 hours; halfway through the hike, you can stop for a break at Malga Ombretta, where you can enjoy locally produced cheeses, cream, yogurt, and other delicacies.

A hike for those who want to truly immerse themselves in the heart of the Dolomites, breathe in the fresh air, and rediscover a bit of that lost peace along the way.
