Bacialupo, which literally opens its windows onto the many vineyards that surround it, is located on

Oltrepò Pavese is a wedge of Lombardy between Emilia and Piedmont, confining with the provinces of Alessandria and Piacenza and in the most southern part, traveling for a few kilometers in Alessandrino or Piacentino, lies the border with Liguria. Thanks to this variety of regions there are, nearby, many beautiful places to visit. Our B&B can offer two double rooms, “Le cementine” and “La mansarda“

, and two apartments, “Il Torchio” and “Le Vasche“, all with bathroom, free Wi-Fi connection and furnished with antique furniture and renovated with natural and old materials. The apartments have also a little private livingroom with kitchen.

Just shared a wonderful weekend with a dear friend from my university days.

The first photo was taken during a beautiful wine festival organized by Vignaioli Indipendenti – Oltrepò Pavese delegation (.oltrepopavese), hosted at the stunning Frecciarossa winery (). The second captures a lovely walk starting from Golferenzo, surrounded by the peaceful hills of Oltrepò Pavese.

And the third photo… a little adventure with Bianca! She suddenly decided to chase a deer into the woods, leaving us calling her name loud enough to wake the entire countryside. Every dog, bird, and rooster answered us — except Bianca. Thankfully, my friend eventually managed to find her safe and sound.

Great to share life, nature, good wine, and friendship here in the beautiful Oltrepò Pavese! 💋

Today the Days of the Blackbird begin, the three coldest days of the year. Legend says that a blackbird once took shelter in a chimney and came out blackened by ash.

Bianca is not a blackbird, but she too looks for shelter by the stove, curling up in the warmth… and maybe she’ll come out a little greyer from the ash on the floor, but definitely less soaked by the rain 🤍🔥
