There has been a great deal of information (and an equal amount of scaremongering) in the press about the coronavirus outbreak in Italy.
Sauze d'Oulx is still very much open.
Sauze is on the Italian/French border, many miles/km away from the Lombardy/Veneto outbreak (about the same distance as Taunton to Penzance, Amsterdam to Dusseldorf or Copenhagen to Gothenburg).
While, like many places, we are taking sensible precautions, there have been no cases reported in the Alta Valle di Susa (where Sauze is located). While you will find the cinema closed and no public events at the moment, bars, shops, restaurants etc are operating very much as normal.
If this changes we will let you know. In the meantime we would like to reassure you that the resort is open and welcoming!
