How far is Jemaa el-Fnaa from Riad Nòmada?
Come with me!

I filmed my walk from our front door to the square: four minutes on foot, through the lanes of the medina

You can be out enjoying the square in minutes, then come home to the quiet of our courtyard

At Riad Nomada, what truly makes the difference is the people. Hicham, Jamila, Adriana, Amale and Idriss are more than a team, they are the heart of the riad

Each of them brings something unique, with care, kindness and those little gestures that make you feel at home Together, they are irreplaceable pieces of the same beautiful mosaic

With the direct Catania–Marrakech flight no longer available, we decided to try a different route: flying direct to Casablanca with Royal Air Maroc, then continuing to Marrakech with our trusted driver

No second flight, no extra airport stress, just luggage in the car and the journey continues

Before recommending it to our guests, we wanted to test it ourselves: real travel times, comfort and costs included. For travellers from Sicily, especially in a group, it could be an option worth considering 😊

People often ask why Marrakech is called the Red City.
Outside, the walls wear their famous shades of red and ochre.
But step inside a riad, and every home tells a different story.
At Nomada, we chose soft lime walls to reflect the light, bring calm, and let the architecture breathe.
Because colour is part of how a place makes you feel.

This is my favourite door at Nomada

Not because it is perfect, but because it carries every mark of time

It belongs to Itrane, and lately it could only open halfway. Replacing it would have been easier. But some things are not meant to be replaced.
So it has been entrusted to the hands of a local craftsman, who is repairing the damaged wood piece by piece. The new parts are still visible now, but we know the skill of Marrakech’s artisans. They will restore its strength without erasing its story

Because caring for an old riad does not mean making everything look new. It means allowing the past to keep living in the present

I want to tell you the story of how I fell in love with Le Jardin Secret in Marrakech

Hidden behind ancient walls and among the vibrant streets of the city, I discovered a place where time seems to slow down. Surrounded by the scent of orange blossoms, the sound of flowing water, and the beauty of its gardens, Le Jardin Secret captured my heart from the very first moment

But what makes this place even more special is its story of rebirth. After years of neglect, this ancient garden was restored to its original splendor through careful restoration work, becoming once again an oasis of peace and beauty in the heart of the Medina

This is the story of a place that has managed to be reborn and that, now more than ever, continues to enchant everyone who walks through it
