ONE NIGHT, ONE STAR, ONE WISH

The Night of San Lorenzo arrives in Trieste with its most beautiful tradition: looking up and waiting for a luminous trail across the sky.

Tonight, August 10th, is the night of wishes. But for those who prefer to take their time, the sky will still be the star of the show between August 11th and 12th, when the Perseids reach their peak activity.

In Trieste, the best idea is to leave the city lights behind and head up towards the Karst: the meadows and viewpoints around Basovizza, San Lorenzo and Monte Grisa offer darker skies and a beautiful view of the stars.

A blanket, a little silence, and your eyes turned towards the sky.

Then let the sky do the rest.

And when a shooting star crosses the sky, don’t forget to make a wish.

Dawn has its own soundtrack.
And in Trieste, it echoes across the sea.

Some experiences can’t truly be described they simply have to be lived.

On Sunday, August 9, at 4:50 a.m., the Molo Audace will once again become an open-air stage for the traditional TriesteLovesJazz Dawn Concert. This year, pianist and composer Riccardo Morpurgo will welcome the sunrise with his music, creating one of the most unforgettable moments of Trieste’s summer.

If you’re staying at Le Porte Blu, you’re just a short walk from Molo Audace, where you can experience the peaceful silence of the city, the sea awakening with the first light of day, and music filling the air as the sun begins to rise.

A sunrise that only Trieste can offer.
