At water level on the Grand Canal, works of immense weight found their place with an ease that felt almost inevitable.

From the arrival of the pieces to the final adjustments, Arcangelo Sassolino shaped the site-specific intervention’s final form in Room 02 — the same room that had set the project in motion.

Here, tension becomes sound, glass catches the canal’s light, and concrete takes on the movement of water.

A reconstructed wood-fired kiln runs through the center of Antonio Bonaldi, ceramista. Here, the process behind the works becomes part of the exhibition itself.

Porcelain bowls, worked so thin that light passes through them, are protected from the flame to preserve their form. The vases move in the opposite direction. Rougher and denser, some are thrown with his eyes closed. In the kiln, they are placed where fire, heat and atmosphere can intervene more freely.

The exhibition opened on September 18 with the artist present.
