石造りの浴室では、日本酒風呂専用の入浴酒 「ヤマサン正宗 美肌県しまね」を使用した
日本酒風呂をお楽しみいただけます。
また、地元作家のマグカップなど、
細部にまで出雲らしさを感じる設えも魅力のひとつです。
木綿街道の暮らしに溶け込むような、 落ち着いた時間をお過ごしください。　

“Kisaya” preserves the atmosphere of a time when merchant houses and townhouses once lined the street.
Built in the late Edo period,
this traditional townhouse quietly reflects the passage of time through its low ceilings and exposed wooden beams.

The first floor offers a comfortable living space where you can relax between your travels.
On the second floor, a bedroom with two semi-double beds accommodates up to four guests,
with an extra mattress provided for groups of three or more.

In the stone-built bathroom, guests can enjoy a sake bath made with
“Yamasan Masamune – Bihada-ken Shimane,” a sake specially crafted for bathing.
Thoughtful details, such as mugs made by local artisans, add a distinct sense of Izumo to the space.

木綿街道で受け継がれてきた
「木綿」の歴史にふれる体験。

この体験では、木綿街道周辺で木綿栽培が始まった背景や、
木綿産業の盛衰、当時の人々の暮らしについてお話を聞きながら、
実際に織機を使った機織体験を行います。

会場となる「木綿街道交流館」は、
江戸時代に「外科御免屋敷」として代々続いた名門医家・旧長崎邸を復元した建物。
かつて木綿栽培が盛んだったこの地ならではの歴史や、
棉の実が木綿製品になるまでの工程を学びながら、
一枚の布を自分の手で織り上げていきます。

ゆっくりと織機を動かす時間は、
昔の暮らしに思いを馳せる静かなひととき。
木綿街道の歴史を、体験を通して感じてみてください。

A hands-on experience to discover the history of cotton
woven into the streets of Momen Kaido.

This program introduces how cotton came to be cultivated in the area,
the rise and decline of the cotton industry,
and the daily lives of people in those days,
while offering a traditional weaving experience using an actual loom.

The experience takes place at the Momen Kaido Exchange Center,
a restored Edo-period residence once home to a prestigious family of surgeons.
As you learn about local history and the process that transforms cotton seeds into finished fabric,
you will weave a piece of cloth with your own hands.

The gentle rhythm of the loom invites a quiet moment of reflection,
connecting you with the past through touch and time.
An opportunity to experience the heritage of Momen Kaido at a slower pace.

表紙の色やデザイン、サイズを自由に選び、紙を糸で綴じて裁断し形を整えます。
さらに表紙に切り絵を施したり、配色を工夫することで、個性あふれる一冊が完成。

Even as the air outside grows crisp and cold,
there is a comforting warmth the moment the fabric touches your skin.
The pajamas prepared at our inn are from Gungendo,
a lifestyle brand based in Omori Town, Oda City, near the World Heritage Site of Iwami Ginzan,
where they cherish craftsmanship rooted in nature and everyday life.
Made from 100% cotton double-layered gauze,
the fabric feels gentle against skin softened by the sake bath.
Its relaxed silhouette wraps the body warmly,
offering comfort throughout chilly nights.

「おやつ工房Lukka」は、焼き菓子や季節のマフィンを中心に、原料にこだわったお菓子を製造・販売しています。店名の「Lukka」はアイスランド語で「幸せ、幸運」という意味があり、「日頃がんばっている小さなご褒美に、お菓子を食べて幸せな気持ちになってもらえたら」という願いが込められています。
ショップでは、お菓子の購入はもちろんのこと、お菓子と共にコーヒーや季節のドリンクなどカフェも楽しむことができます。

土蔵造りの趣を残す地上二階建てに、隠れ家のような地下室を備えた特別な客室。

“Sakamochida Kura” is a private, one-building guest room renovated from a registered tangible cultural property—an earthen storehouse owned by the long-established sake maker Sakamochida Honten on the Momen Kaido.

Built in the early Shōwa period, this gabled storehouse with traditional tiled roofing and a gable-end entrance features generously used local pine in its interior beams and side walls, preserving the design details of its time and the warmth of wood.

A truly special space: a two-storey structure that retains the character of kura architecture, complete with a hidden, cellar-like basement.

In the quiet flow of time, reflect on the profound flavours of sake and the thoughts of the brewers behind it—
