I saw a post painting a grim picture of Kisii town and I felt it's good to sample a number of positives about my town and it's people for both visitor and unknowing local.
1. Kisii town is a 24 hour economy behind only
Nairobi. You can dine, get transport, find
entertainment and many other services
almost anytime!
2. The town has a robust business
environment . Owning a stall, a shop, a
matatu or any other business can pay
handsomely if you're a good manager.
3. Kisii is one of the most peaceful places
where cohesion has gone a notch higher.
People from all ethnic backgrounds have
come to love staying, working and doing
business in the town. Buying and owning
property in Kisii is not a big deal.
4. Our town and it's people are beautiful! Just
standing or sitting in one of the hotel
balconies in town and looking at the
greenery hills surrounding it is therapeutic.
It's people may be a bit temperamental but
they are honest and beautiful. What makes
them angry is when you trivialize virtues
like truth, love and integrity!
5. Most Kisii's believe in a God who loves,
saves, heals and has built for us mansions
in heaven. A visit to many a church in town
and it's environs on Saturday or Sunday
will testify of the fact.
Well now you know. Am proud being black
and Kisii!!
