They can spot a carcass from three miles up, strip it clean in under an hour, and stop a disease outbreak before it starts.

Vultures are the Maasai Mara's clean-up crew - unglamorous, yet utterly essential. Without them, carcasses linger, disease spreads to other wildlife, livestock, and people, and the whole ecosystem pays the price.

They're also disappearing faster than almost any other bird group in Africa - poisoning and habitat loss are driving some species toward extinction.

This International Vulture Awareness Day, give credit where it's overdue.

The worlds most trafficked mammal, spotted by our guides at Cottar's Safaris!

We had to share this special throwback as we witnesses some of our guides see a Pangolin for the first time, others could still only count the amount of times they'd spotted the mammal in the wild on one hand!
