Rainbow Lodge (Cambodia)

Rainbow Lodge (Cambodia) A relaxed and friendly bungalow retreat immersed in nature in Tatai Wildlife Sanctuary. Rainbow Lodge has 7 bungalows, one of which is a family unit.

We have river frontage ideal for relaxing, swimming or kayaking. Rainbow Lodge land has been allowed to go back to nature, and is now attracting quite a variety of wildlife. We are also surrounded by jungle and we run guided treks to stunning destinations. All food is included in our prices, and we endeavor to make it tasty and plentiful. We offer free Wi-Fi at Rainbow Lodge. We regret that Rainbow Lodge is not suitable for children under the age of 5 years old. For more details, see our website.

Chrysococcyx xanthorhynchus (Violet Cuckoo) - male
On the exact same plant, and feeding on the same type of beetle larvae as I photographed the female 6 days ago. Like the female, it let me get quite close.

This species is the predecessor of all domestic chickens. They seem to be at or near Rainbow Lodge all the time.

Anthracoceros albirostris (Oriental Pied Hornbill) eating fruit from trees near the river. These are frequent visitors to Rainbow Lodge.
First 2 photos are a female, the next 3 are a male and the last 5 I think are an immature female.

Chrysococcyx xanthorhynchus (Violet Cuckoo).
A female feeding on some kind of beetle larvae, maybe in the family Chrysomelidae (Leaf Beetles).
