Syntropics Fostering is our small-scale adaptation of syntropic agriculture, applied within the living ecosystem of Two Roots Garden Cambodia.
We are not a large commercial farm.
We are a family garden, a learning space, and a demonstration site for regenerative living.
Our approach combines:

- Traditional Khmer gardening wisdom

The word syntropy describes the natural tendency of life to organize, evolve, and create increasing abundance through cooperation and diversity.
Rather than controlling nature, we work alongside nature's intelligence.
We call our approach Syntropics Fostering because:

π The Origins of Syntropic Agriculture
Syntropic Agriculture was developed by Swiss farmer and researcher Ernst GΓΆtsch, who began restoring degraded land in Brazil during the 1980s.
When he arrived in Bahia, the landscape was:
- Dry and degraded
- Low in fertility
- Considered unsuitable for productive farming
Instead of relying on chemicals or conventional agricultural methods, GΓΆtsch studied how natural forests regenerate themselves.
He observed that:
- Nature never leaves soil exposed
- Plants develop through natural succession
- Biodiversity increases fertility
- Pruning and organic matter continuously build soil
From these observations, he developed a farming system that:
