🌼 The Story of Xuanmai Garden Resort — Part 3: The Meaning Behind Xuanmai
Xuanmai is my mother's name.

“Xuan” refers to the New Year season, and “Mai” refers to the mai flower, a flower closely associated with the New Year in Vietnam. 🌼
During the Vietnamese New Year, many people like to have mai flowers in their homes.
There is also a traditional belief about the flowers. As the New Year approaches, people look forward to seeing the yellow flowers open. If the tree blooms with many yellow flowers, it is believed to be a sign of good luck for the year ahead. 😊

🌿 The Story of Xuanmai Garden Resort — Part 2: Why the Garden?
When Xuanmai Garden Resort started, the garden was already part of it.
My mother loved flowers. She loved planting and taking care of the garden. She didn't do it because she was thinking about guests or making the resort look beautiful. She simply loved gardening.
When she was working in the garden, she would often call me and tell me about what she was doing.
And my answer was usually very simple:
“Yes, Mom, okay...” 😄
At that time, I didn't think too much about it.
Today, I understand the garden a little differently.
The garden was something my mother created and cared for from the beginning. And now, I also love the quiet place, the flowers, and the garden.
I have many things to take care of at Xuanmai, so I can not spend all my time working in the garden. But I check it every day and tell our gardener what needs to be done.
The garden is already beautiful.
My job is simply to take care of it, keep improving it, and let it continue to grow.
🌿 Maybe that is why Xuanmai is called a Garden Resort.

🌿 Our Rooms at Xuanmai Garden Resort
We have two room types: Double-bed rooms and Twin-bed rooms.

Both room types have the same room rate, including breakfast.

All our bedrooms are the same size, but bathroom sizes may vary slightly. Some rooms have garden views, while others have different views depending on the room.

If you have a preference, we are happy to provide the best available room according to your preference and availability. 😊

🌿 The Story of Xuanmai — Part 1

A Mother's Dream

Every place has a story. This is ours. 🌿

Before Xuanmai Garden Resort, my mother had a restaurant in the centre of Pakse. I helped her there, and I saw how hard restaurant work could be.

My mother wanted a better future for our family, so she dreamed of creating a place of our own where people could stay.

She loved flowers and gardens, so after the main buildings were finished, she created the garden herself.

At first, we weren't sure what to call the place—a hotel, a guesthouse, or a resort. But we had our garden, and we felt that Xuanmai Garden Resort was the right name.

Xuanmai is my mother's name, and this place belongs to her.

This was how our story began. ❤️

There is much more to the story, and we will share it little by little.
