🚫 Kuang Si Waterfall in Luang Prabang Closes Bridge and Western Forest Path for Renovations
The Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism has temporarily closed the front bridge and western forest path at Kuang Si Waterfall from 20 to 31 August to improve facilities and ensure visitor safety amid growing tourist numbers.
Visitors are advised to avoid the affected areas and follow safety instructions during the closure.

Sở Văn hóa và Du lịch tỉnh đã tạm thời đóng cửa cây cầu phía trước và đường mòn phía Tây tại thác Kuang Si từ ngày 20 đến 31/8 để nâng cấp cơ sở vật chất và đảm bảo an toàn cho du khách trong bối cảnh lượng khách du lịch ngày càng tăng.

Du khách được khuyến cáo tránh các khu vực bị ảnh hưởng và tuân thủ các hướng dẫn an toàn trong thời gian đóng cửa.

💐 Boun Khao Phansa (Bun Khao Phan Sa) – Buddhist Lent Festival 🇱🇦

Today marks the beginning of Boun Khao Phansa, one of the most important Buddhist festivals in Laos. According to the Buddhist calendar (15th day of the 8th lunar month), the country enters the three-month Buddhist Lent.

Early in the morning, people across Laos visit temples to offer alms to monks and make merit by presenting food and other offerings.

During these three months, many Lao people observe Buddhist practices by avoiding alcohol, living more mindfully, and making merit regularly. Traditionally, weddings, house construction, and some other celebrations are postponed during this period. Monks also remain in their own monasteries rather than traveling to other temples.

Today, I’d like to share some Lao festival vocabulary so everyone can learn more about this beautiful tradition.

Note: If you plan to visit a temple and offer alms, it is considered respectful to avoid wearing black clothing.

If you’d like, I can also make it sound more casual, more formal, or more suitable for tourists visiting Laos.

💐“ ບຸນເຂົ້າພັນສາ “ Lễ hội vào chay ( Bun khạu phăn sá )
Hôm nay là một trong những ngày đầu tiên dương lịch (15/8 phật lịch ) đất nước lào🇱🇦 bắt đầu bước vào ba tháng ăn chay.
Lễ hội sẽ bắt đầu từ sáng sớm tại các ngôi chùa trên khắp đất nước Lào, mọi người sẽ lên chùa “ ຕັກບາດ “ khất thực và dâng lễ cho các nhà sư.
Mùa chay kéo dài 3 tháng và trong thời gian đó, cả đất nước Lào sẽ kiêng cưới hỏi, xây dựng nhà cửa, một số người sẽ kiêng rượu bia, các nhà sư cũng không được phép đi sang ngôi chùa khác...
Nên hôm nay mình có từ vựng các lễ hội của Lào cho mọi người xem để biết thêm nhé.

Lưu ý: Mọi người kiêng mặc áo màu đen đi chùa khất thực nhé.
