Celebrating Vesak with Compassion and Community Spirit. In celebration of Vesak on 30 May, our team came together with several of our valued guests to carry out a meaningful community initiative by distributing 300 lunch boxes to the community around Karpaha Sands. The activity was inspired by the core values of Vesak: generosity, compassion and selfless giving. This provided an opportunity for both staff and guests to actively participate in giving back to the community. What began as a simple act of kindness quickly turned into a heartwarming and memorable experience. The response from the local community was overwhelming, with many villagers and passersby stopping to receive the meals and a refreshing drink. The enthusiasm and appreciation shown by those who were fortunate to have benefitted from the initiative created an atmosphere of joy and togetherness, reflecting the true spirit of the Vesak season.

The distribution brought staff and guests together with a shared purpose, strengthening connections and creating lasting memories through an important act of kindness, empathy and touching hearts. The turnout was so significant that it briefly caused traffic to slow down along the road, highlighting the positive impact and reach of our initiative. At Karpaha Sands, we believe that meaningful hospitality extends beyond our resort and into the communities around us. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who volunteered their time and effort to make this day such a huge success.
