Mirissa is famous for its golden crescent-shaped beach, incredible whale watching experiences, surfing, relaxed atmosphere and warm tropical climate. Situated close to other popular destinations such as Weligama (surfing), Unawatuna (beach), Dondra (lighthouse), Galle (Dutch Fort) and Yala (National Park), these make easy day trips. Mirissa is a more relaxed alternative to the relatively developed and touristic beach towns of Unawatuna and Hikkaduwa and has one of Sri Lanka’s most beautiful beaches. JJ’s is the first project by me, JJ. I’m Australian born and raised, half Sri Lankan and have explored the world quite extensively as a budget traveller.
