“All our rooms are fully booked, but this jambo still came asking for a room last night”

It’s a funny moment, but sadly, there’s a serious story behind it.

These elephants usually come to the paddy fields to feed on the leftover crops after the harvest. Unfortunately, over the past few days, some people have burned all the remaining food in the fields.

Now, hundreds of elephants are struggling to find food and water, and they are slowly moving closer to the villages in search of something to eat.

A funny visitor today, but a serious reminder of how our actions can affect wildlife.

Doing a safari in Kumana is different. Less crowded, more wilderness, and pure wildlife experience. Seeing a leopard move freely in its natural habitat from our fully open low angle Land Cruiser made for photography gives a feeling you cannot explain in words. Every moment is real, close, and unforgettable in the wild.
