: Three inspiring days, countless ideas, and a shared commitment to advancing gender equality across the Western Balkans.
During the Regional Academy for Women's Leadership hosted in Skopje, we explored how to turn gender equality from a principle into practice—through policies and decisions that shape everyday life.
➡️From data to impact, from analysis to change.⬅️
Participants engaged in interactive exercises, peer learning, and real-life examples to better understand how public policies can either reduce or reinforce inequalities. Discussions highlighted the importance of sex-disaggregated data and evidence-based policymaking in designing solutions that respond to the diverse needs and experiences of women and men.
Because behind every data point lies more than just a number—there are different needs and experiences of women and men. Better policies emerge when we recognize what has remained invisible for far too long.
Change does not begin when gender equality becomes a topic of conversation; it begins when it becomes an integral part of every decision and policy we make.
