HEAVY TRIGGER

The morning started slow, moving slowly on the flat with the dropping tide. We saw a pair of GT's appear from the right but before Paul could get his cast out, they were out of reach. Suddenly a brown patch appeared cruising along the edge of the turtle grass and without actually realising it was a Trigger, he sent out a cast a few meters ahead and started stripping the spawning shrimp back- fast! The fish turned and chased the fly, a pause in the retrieve and a slow followup strip went tight!

An amazing fish caught in a very unorthodox way!
