There are moments in life that leave you completely speechless, filled with awe. We went on a trip to swim with the whale sharks, and this adventure exceeded our best expectations. 💙🌊
We jumped in the sea and were surrounded by gentle giants— there were around 50 whale sharks and several pairs of manta rays moving gracefully, surfacing and dipping, and one manta even breached (very rare). It was unreal, out of this world! And so humbling too!
This incredible gathering happens during the summer months, especially around the full moon, when tunny fish (also called bonito) spawn, releasing myriads of tiny eggs that become a feast for these filter-feeding beauties.
As if that weren't enough, on the way back we came across several pods of dolphins. A few raced alongside the boat, leaping through the waves and playfully riding our wake. So cute!

Sixth floor is not a problem for our new friends. The humming birds are adorable and LOUD! They also feed a lot but at certain times of day. Our breakfasts coincide. They let me take pictures. I have to make the syrup every day - does it evaporate or are these guys so voracious? We leave in a week, but multiple units in the building feed them continuously because the owners live here full time. The humming birds will not go hungry. Of course, there are real flowers with real nectar all around too.
