A HECTIC FEW WEEKS AT HOMESTAY LUBOK LEMBA 🤩

August came in busy… and September decided not to slow down. Here’s a little look at what has been happening around our homestay over the past few weeks:

Our homestay operators took part in the ASEAN Homestay Standard Assessment. Out of our 18 homestay operators, 5 were selected to be assessed by the judges from MOTAC. It was a busy and meaningful day for our operators, and we’re happy to be part of the assessment as we continue working towards improving our homestay experience.

Travelling solo across Sarawak, Mr. Alexander from France made Homestay Lubok Lemba one of his stops and stayed with us for 2D1N.

Currently studying in Singapore, this lovely couple from China came to see what a traditional Sarawak longhouse is like. They also got to try their hand at rubber tapping!

A group of colleagues spent their day at Sungai Munsoh Waterfall, enjoying the fresh air, greenery and of course, the waterfall.

This one was a little special. An Australian guest who had visited us before, together with his wife, came back again — this time bringing along his family. He’s been here before, but was still just as excited to be back.

And just today, we welcomed another group of friends from Australia who went on a trip to Sungai Munsoh Waterfall.

From the ASEAN assessment to welcoming guests from different parts of the world, longhouse experiences, rubber tapping and waterfall trips…

It’s definitely been a busy few weeks around here.

Tiring? Definitely.
Hectic? Absolutely.
Worth it? Always.

Safety Always Comes First! 🛟🛟

Greetings everyone. Today we welcomes a group of visitors for their waterfall excursion. Before heading off to Sg. Munsoh Waterfall, our day-trip visitors first completed their registration before attending a safety briefing. This ensures that everyone is properly registered, familiar with the safety guidelines and ready for the excursion 🥾

For our day package, the Sg. Munsoh Waterfall excursion is available at:

🎟️ Entrance Fee: RM10 per person
🧭 Tour Guide: RM100 per 10 pax (maximum)

Once registration and the safety briefing are done, it’s time to enjoy the journey, explore nature and create memories along the way!

Good morning from Homestay Lubok Lemba 🙌🏻

Here’s one of our homestay operator, Mr Bungkong demonstrating how to tap a rubber tree that has been part of our village for generations. It remains an important source of livelihood for many families in our village.

Guests staying with us have the opportunity to walk through the peaceful rubber plantation as early as 6 AM, learn how latex is collected, and if you’re feeling adventurous, try tapping the rubber tree yourself 🤭

It’s a simple morning, but one that offers a genuine glimpse into the rhythm of village life.

Disclaimer: It is an optional activity for our guests but highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic local experiences.

Imagine enjoying Sarawak’s famous Ayam Pansuh, surrounded by nature and the soothing sounds of a waterfall?

Well, that’s exactly what we did last week! We had the pleasure of welcoming our friends from Australia or should we say, our mates? 🇦🇺

They spent 2 days and 1 night with us, exploring the waterfall, enjoying the peaceful surroundings, and indulging in local delicacies, including the famous Ayam Pansuh cooked by the waterfall. Not in photos, they also enjoyed watching & experiencing the rubber processing plus a night walk too around the village 🤭🤭
