Canyon Update

Recent rainfall has left the roads wet, slippery, and slushy in places. Guests are advised to drive slowly and remain in the centre of the road where conditions allow.

The Holoog River contains a significant amount of sand, but it remains passable for vehicles.

Rainfall recorded:

* Canyon Lodge & Canyon Roadhouse: 16 mm
* Holoog: 55 mm

The Holoog River was flowing last night.

Sandhof received enough rain the past week for the lilies to bloom.

Please take note.

Gates will open Friday 03.04.2026 - Sunday 05.04.2026 from 07:00 to 19:00 (till further notice)

Entrance N$ 50.00 pp

Campers and Camping will be allowed if you are fully equipped @ N$ 100.00pp

Directions: From Maltahohe take the D861 for 39km to Sandhof
