We recently had a 3-day communication training course at Ai Aiba, presented by Hazel Milne and assisted by Mike Godfrey.
16 staff members attended the course and all passed, some with distinction - with manager Immanuel Vatileni achieving an A+ result!
Congratulations to all, and a big thank you to Hazel & Mike.

Magical place
Maybe this is the most beautiful part of all Namibia, hard to see with so many spectacular landscapes. But the property of Ai Aiba is just mindblowing and surreal. You go there for the landscape and the granite boulders, for the hiking and cycling but we were surprised to find some 20 giraffes on our guided walk. On the sunset drive: some interesting birds and landscape, landscape, landscape. The hike to the sundowner spot above the lodge spot is a serious hike, do not underestimate the steepness and only try with good shoes. But so worth it. The marked trail is also very nice. Chalets are nice with views to the waterhole. The design keeps the high temperatures outside very well. Food was very good and guiding was first class. Stay two nights, one is not enough. I would go back without hesitation.

Giving back to our Community with the Kind Donations of Our Guests
Following on from our completion of the much-needed perimeter fencing we did at !Oe Primary School in Tubusis.
The Principal of !Oe Primary School also requested assistance with the urgent upgrade of their ablution blocks at the school.
At Big Sky Lodges, we place community and conservation at the heart of our priorities, and thanks to guest contributions to our Conservation, Education and Social Welfare Fund, we have been able to change and improve the lives of these scholars.
The Principal was overwhelmed and was so grateful. We are very happy to play a small part in making a positive change for our community.

Giving back to our Community with the Kind Donations of Our Guests
Thanks to your generous contributions to our Conservation, Education and Social Welfare Fund, we have been able to change and improve the lives of the children at !Oe Primary School in Tubusis.
We reach out to local schools to request their "wish list" and ask them to prioritise the most important items or upkeep that would make a big difference in the lives of the scholars.
The Principal of !Oe Primary School requested assistance with several matters, with perimeter fencing being their top priority.
At Big Sky Lodges, we place community and conservation at the heart of our priorities. Our mission is to leave more than footprints: to uplift, restore, and make a significant impact on the Namibian people and the environment around us.
We are delighted with the transformation and the final results, and are pleased to have made a positive change for our community.
