"Villa Wille" was built in 1909 by Hermann Wille, an architect and building engineer. Although the villa was converted into a first class hotel in 1999, the exterior structure of the building has remained untouched. The main idea throughout all renovation and modernization efforts was to maintain the original building by architect and builder Hermann Wille as much as possible. Herman Wille played a strong role in creating the face of Swakopmund, with buildings like the Adlerapotheke, (1909), the pastors’ house (1911), the German School and the extension of the Hotel Fürst Bismark (1913).
