🥶 The last two days at Nauams have been bitterly cold, and we’ve had lots of questions about the weather for our first Winter Trails Series tomorrow.

The good news? The worst seems to be over! ☀️

Tomorrow is looking like a beautiful winter’s day at Nauams, with sunshine and low winds – perfect conditions for getting out on the trails.

Come early, grab a warm cup of coffee or hot chocolate, enjoy one of our scenic routes, and when you’re done, we’ll have warm food ready for you.

Whether you’re joining us for the easy 5 km, the medium route, or the challenging long route, we’d love to see you there.

🎨✨ Creativity, adventure, and a touch of Van Gogh at Nauams! ✨🎨

One of the most exciting parts of building Nauams is curating experiences that are truly unique. Today, we are thrilled to share that we have acquired two original works by South African artist Johan Alberts⁠: “Namibian Van Gogh (after Vincent)” and “Quiver Vincent (after Van Gogh).”

Johan’s work is fascinating because it reimagines some of the world’s most iconic artworks through an African lens. His paintings blend familiar masterpieces with local landscapes, stories, and identity, creating something both nostalgic and completely new. As Johan describes it, his art seeks to unite different worlds and celebrate the beauty found in both our similarities and our differences.

These two pieces are particularly special to us. By combining the unmistakable style of Vincent van Gogh with the iconic Namibian quiver tree and landscapes that feel close to home, Johan has created artworks that speak directly to the spirit of Nauams — where adventure, nature, creativity, and Africa come together.

🖼️ Both originals will soon be proudly displayed in AvonVuur.

🛍️ We are also excited to announce that limited edition prints of these artworks will be available for purchase at the //Khāes Overland Outpost, allowing guests to take home a unique piece of this story.

A huge thank you to Johan for creating such remarkable works. We cannot wait to share them with our guests.

Whether you’re looking for a relaxed morning walk, a social jog with friends, or a challenging trail run through the mountains, we’ve got a route for you.

No pre-entry. No online registration. No pressure.

Simply show up, choose your route, pay your N$100 trail fee, and enjoy a great morning on the trails.

Your entry helps us maintain existing trails and build new ones for everyone to enjoy.

Afterwards, join us at the Overland Outpost for great coffee, breakfast, or lunch. ☕🍳
