Open Monument day falls on Saturday 12 September, and Château St. Gerlach will open its doors for the day.

A guided tour behind the scenes, led by our General Manager Bastiaan Klomp, into corners of the estate our guests rarely see. A rare chance to walk through the château in a different way, and to understand how a monument stays alive by staying in use.

There are two evenings left this season to join us for the WIJland Harvest Dinner, and the September light on the estate makes them our favourites of the run.

You arrive at the front of the château and walk with us to the vineyard and WIJland, our vegetable garden tended along regenerative principles. An aperitif and an amuse among the vines set the tone. From there, a short stroll to Les Salons, where chef Guido Le Bron de Vexela and his team serve a four-course menu shaped by the harvest, paired with w**es chosen for the evening.

On 6 September, our Château Concerts series returns with an Italian-inspired afternoon of chamber music. Pianist Kasper Schonewille and harpist Oxana Thijssen are joined by guest violinist Enzo Kok, moving through works by Mendelssohn, Mascagni, Albinoni and others, with the stories behind each piece woven in.

A 'pay what you can' concert, made complete with lunch at Burgemeester Quicx beforehand or dinner at Les Salons to follow.
