The story of two brother who waswildlife techican fro wildlife animals, where Herna Katha has story tells.
Vishnu Bahadur Lama and Harkman Lama lived in Toplang village near Chitlang. They came from a family of hunters. Their grandfather and father were both hunters for the royal palace. From time to time, they had to hunt birds and deliver them to the palace. Vishnu and Hark grew up watching their father and grandfather use guns.
A man named Kirtiman Tamang, who was born in Kalimpong, worked for Nepal’s Forest Department. He was well educated. After working for some time at Tiger Tops in Chitwan, Kirtiman Tamang went to the United States to pursue a PhD.
As part of his PhD research, Kirtiman introduced the “Tiger Ecology Project.” Research on tigers began in the forests of Chitwan. The establishment of Chitwan National Park was just about to happen. Kirtiman planned to study the feeding habits and behavior of tigers.
He needed assistants to help capture tigers in the jungle. Kirtiman happened to know the uncle of Vishnu Bahadur and Harkman. To assist him, the elder brother Hark arrived in 2029 B.S., and the younger brother Vishnu in 2032 B.S. Since then, for nearly 45 years, these two brothers spent their lives in the jungle, using guns for conservation.
