NEPAL IS OPEN AND WELCOMING TRAVELERS
A Message to the Global Travel Community
Recent monsoon rains and flooding have affected the Langtang and Rasuwa region. Our thoughts are with the communities and families affected by this difficult situation.
However, the situation in one region does not represent the entire country.
Nepal remains open to international travelers. Many tourism destinations, trekking routes, hiking areas, cultural sites, and wildlife experiences continue to operate.
Travelers can still enjoy destinations including the Everest Region, Annapurna Region, Upper Mustang, Pokhara, Chitwan, Kathmandu Valley, and many other areas, subject to current weather and local conditions.
Trekking and travel plans should always be checked route by route. Weather, road conditions, flights, and trails can change during the monsoon season.
A Message to the World Community
Nepal warmly welcomes visitors from around the world.
Tourism is an important source of livelihood for thousands of families across the country. Hotels, restaurants, guides, porters, drivers, artisans, and local businesses depend on responsible tourism.
We encourage travelers and the international tourism community to continue supporting Nepal by sharing accurate information and encouraging responsible travel.
One affected area should not define the image of an entire country.
Nepal remains a safe, diverse, and welcoming destination for travelers who plan responsibly and follow current local advice.
