The owner of Beeja Girls Hostel recently visited the flash-flood-affected communities of Bidur along the Trishuli River, witnessing firsthand the devastating impact of the disaster on families and, most importantly, on children.
During the visit, he met with Dr. Tula Dhoj Khatiwada to better understand the urgent needs and explore how meaningful support can be provided to children and families affected by the tragedy.
The August 26 floods caused widespread destruction across the Trishuli corridor, with homes, schools, roads and bridges severely affected. Children have been among those facing displacement, disruption to education and deep emotional distress.
This visit has strengthened his commitment to dedicating a significant part of the coming year to supporting affected childrenβhelping them return to learning, regain a sense of safety and rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
We cannot change what happened. But we can stand beside these children as they rebuild. β€οΈ
