Enjoy unimpeded views of Mount Cook, Mount Tasman & the glacier. Visit famous Lake Matheson, just down the road. Mt Cook View Motel offers incredibly spacious accommodation options in the form of:

- 5 x studio units (20m2), one of which has a super-king option
- 3 x 1-bedroom units (45m2)
- 1 x 2-bedroom unit (120m2)
- 2 x 2-bedroom cottages (75m2)

Each unit boasts spectacular views in a rural setting. Valley, pastures & the mighty Southern Alps casts a dramatic yet tranquil feeling. Our Cottages were the first accommodation in Fox Glacier to be built and that is why they are positioned so perfectly to soak up the best views of Mount Tasman the area has to offer. It has been said by many that the motel exhibits better views of the glacier than official viewpoints. Mt Cook View Motel is located perfectly, off the main highway avoiding heavy truck noise. You will find us halfway down Cook Flat Road between Fox Glacier town centre and the famous Lake Matheson. It is a 3-minute drive from town to the motel and a further 3-minute drive down the road to Lake Matheson. We invite you to feel at home & make your comfortable. We pride ourselves on offering a taste of country living in glacier country and will be happy to meet your demands on flexible check-in and out times wherever possible. We even have animals, if you or your children would like to feed the pony - let us know! Our units allow for freedom and independence such as cooking facilities, free parking and plenty of room to enjoy the view and environment from the motel grounds. Our aim is for the motel to be your peaceful retreat, yet your gateway to adventure. This is why we offer an additional service for hikers of the Coupland Track to store luggage between and during hikes as an add-on to your stay. We have recently undergone a major renovation to many of the bathrooms at the motel, which now offers luxuriously large showers.
