White rātā — also called Akatorotoro 🌿
This one is a climber, wrapping itself around trees and ferns. Pretty as a picture! If there’s nothing to climb, it just becomes a bushy little shrub instead.
Most of the year it’s quiet then… mid-summer arrives.
It's got me. Out comes my camera!
Those white buds burst into masses of soft white flowers! We're excited because we've moved to a place with more mature forest, maybe that's why it's here. Loving watching it out of the window.
