Number 1 in the last at Flemington tomorrow is Buccleuch. Sounds a lot like Buccleughs to us.

If Buccleuch wins Race 10 at 7:15pm, it's Al's shout. You've got to be in the bar when they jump, so come watch it on the screens in the bar, with live music all day for Melbourne Cup.

Good Till 10pm is this Saturday and we've stocked up. Blow-up mics for your big moment, glasses that suit absolutely everyone (sort of), and plenty more where they came from.

Geek & Geezer from 2pm, D'Sendantz at 4pm and DJ Clint at 7pm. Bar meals all day.

No excuses.

One year at the Rec. What a journey.

A year ago I took on this place. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve loved every bit of the challenge.

To the people of the West Coast and afar who’ve pulled up a stool, booked a table or brought the family in for a feed, stayed with us, thank you. Your support has meant more than you know.

Big long weekend at the Rec, and it starts today.

Liquorland's 3 Day Deals are on now through to Saturday. Friday we've got free roast sandwiches on the bar from 4 to 5.30pm, then Pot the Lot kicks off at 6pm ($5 a go, $250 jackpot to start).

Saturday night X Files Duo are playing live in the bar from 9pm, free entry. And we're open right through Labour Weekend.

Come in for a cold one and a good feed.

Something new at the Rec this Friday.

Pot the Lot kicks off Friday 23 October. Register at the bar for $5, rack up, break, then pot all 15 without a miss. Clear the table and the jackpot's yours.

It starts at $250 and every entry goes straight into the pot, so it grows every go until someone takes it.
