The end of this month is the end of the era .
The D'Urville Island Wilderness Resort closes permanently and goes into private ownership.

Mariners are advised that the ‘Dart Rock’ Aid to Navigation (AtoN) based in the Pelorus Sound previously established at its charted position is no longer in place and is currently assessed as missing from station and therefore is extinguished.

Work is underway to place a temporary Isolated Danger Mark Buoy at this charted position. Mariners are advised to proceed with caution.
