We’ve been throwing around a few ideas for the name of our new café, and now we want to know what you think!

We’ve narrowed it down to a handful of options, but before we make the final call, we’d love some help from the people who know Hīmatangi Beach, visit the park, grab a coffee, or might just pop in for a cuppa and something tasty.

This photo popped up in our memories today from this day in 2018, and it’s a pretty good reminder that Hīmatangi Beach is always changing.

After some wild west-coast weather, the sea and stream had carved their way into the dunes, leaving behind these dramatic sand cliffs.

The beach might look very different today, but that’s part of what we love about it. Wind, waves, tides and rain are constantly reshaping the coastline, creating something a little different each time you visit.

Wild west-coast weather... you never quite know what you're going to get. 🌊

🌱 A little bit of Hīmatangi Beach

One of the things we love about living and working here is being part of the community around us.

The last community planting day was a great example... getting stuck in, planting a few natives, catching up with locals and helping look after a little patch of the place we’re lucky enough to call home.

We’ll be out there again for the next one soon. 🌿

It’s not always about the big things. Sometimes it’s just showing up, getting your hands dirty and doing your bit.
