We often get asked, “How far we are from the Vinegar Hill Reserve and the Rangitīkei River?”
Well, hopefully this video answers that question!

Nestled on 3 beautiful acres, just a couple of minutes off State Highway 1, our property offers the perfect balance of peaceful country living and convenience.
🏡 We have two accommodation options:
🏠 The Cottage – Sleeping up to 6 guests, our charming cottage stands proudly in all its rustic glory! Full of character and country charm.
🏡 The Homestead – Recently renovated, while carefully preserving its rustic charm, the Homestead comfortably sleeps up to 11 guests. Travelling with a bigger group? We can accommodate at least another 6 people with our camp stretcher bunks, available on request.
Whether you’re planning a family getaway, a gathering with friends, a fishing trip, or simply looking for somewhere peaceful to escape, there’s plenty of room to relax, unwind and enjoy the beautiful Rangitīkei countryside.

We are definitely biased, but highly recommend Flat Hills Cafe and Tourist Park!!! This is where we now live, as in March we took over as managers. This is home to not just us and the three kids, but our animal family; 5 ponies, 6 sheep, 6 goats, 2 cows, many many ducks, 3 pigs, 6 chickens, 2 cats, a dog, 2 rainbow lorikeets, 2 budgies and 5 rabbits! We also have a cafe (opening hours of 8.30am - 3pm), a bouncy castle (up during opening hours), a maze ($2 coin entry), children's playground and large garden areas to explore! We run animal encounter and animal tour sessions too.
