This year is extra special as we celebrate 70 YEARS of the SBS Bank Tour of Southland — seven decades of incredible racing, determination, teamwork and true Southland spirit! 🙌

From Sunday 1st November to Saturday 7th November, the region will come alive with the excitement of this legendary annual cycling race.

To all the riders, support crews and teams — we wish you the very best of luck for an amazing week of racing. May the legs be strong, the wheels keep turning and the Southland weather play nice! 🤞🚴‍♂️

You blink, and suddenly there’s another mountain of them! 🤣

Behind every lovely, fresh room at the Balmoral is a whole lot of washing, folding and hard work from our amazing housekeeping and laundry team. 🤍✨

Because nothing beats slipping into a freshly made bed with crisp, clean linen after a big day exploring Invercargill!

It’s not always glamorous behind the scenes, but our team makes it happen! 🙌🛏️

It’s been a year since Tange Hinga became manager at Balmoral Lodge, and what a year it’s been! 🎉

A major storm, a new reservation system and a fuel crisis have kept her on her toes. Through it all, she's kept smiling, made people feel welcome and found time for a bit of fun. 😉

She’s brought our socials to life too, with behind the scenes moments and te reo Māori lessons during Te Wiki o te Reo Māori.
