Mt Somers Domain Camping Ground

Mt Somers Reserves Board are having another of their working bees, next weekend, on Sunday 20th September. We have a number of jobs that need attending to. Among the list of jobs we have are a general spruce up of the Hoods Memorial Arch, tidying the Old Cemetery, some garden tidying around the Domain, moving firewood logs and we have chairs in the hall that need stoppers put on their feet. The jobs are varied, and many hands make light work. The working bee starts at 8am on Sunday 20th September. Tea, coffee and morning tea are supplied. We would also love to show helpers through the hall at morning tea time and share our latest work, which is the inclusion of accessible toilets and a general revamp and upgrade of the Hall's toilet facilities.

The following media realease was published by the ADC and outlines some of our next steps. We have a busy winter ahead coming up with a model that will be cost effective, and meet the needs of our campers and community. We will close for winter on April 12th and intend to reopen on 25th September this will see us open for Easter as usual.

The Mt Somers Domain campground will remain open until mid-April this year, but close over winter while the Mt Somers Reserve Board explores new ways of operating the facility.
