Starting next Tuesday the 27th Ingram Rd will only be open to traffic for 10minutes every hour. As always the course will be open via honesty box if the clubhouse is closed 😊⛳️

Heads up for residents and businesses along Ingram Road in Bombay... a week of road closures is coming.

Starting Tuesday 27 October, crews will be undertaking road stabilisation and resealing along Ingram Road, with works expected to take approximately one week, weather permitting.

Due to how narrow the road is, there's simply not enough room to safely accommodate traffic while machinery, equipment and contractors are working.

Rather than dragging the job out with complicated traffic management, the decision has been made, following discussions with locals, to close the road during working hours and provide scheduled access.

Here's how it will work:

The road will open for 10 minutes at the start of every hour, from 7am through to 7:10pm.

For example, 7am to 7:10am, 8am to 8:10am, 9am to 9:10am and so on.

Outside these windows, the road will be closed to through traffic while work is underway. Obviously, lights on emergency service responses will be allowed through.

This will affect residents and those accessing businesses such as Maxwell's Golf Club.

Crews will be working during daylight hours only, with no night works planned.

I appreciate this will be frustrating for those who regularly use the road, but this approach allows contractors to get in, properly stabilise and reseal the road, and get out as efficiently as possible.

If you have specific access requirements, speak with the traffic management crew on site, who will do their best to accommodate you safely.

Tuesday 27 October onwards. Approximately one week, weather permitting.

If you're heading to Maxwell's or travelling along Ingram Road, plan your journey around those hourly access windows.

I wish to let you know that Maxwell’s is going up for sale.
Now at the age of 71 years it is time for me to hand over.
Shane & Terese are going to stay running the business until the sale goes through but hopefully by the end of January it will change hands.

We can keep your memberships going until 31st December 2026. After that we will be in touch with the progress. We are very hopeful that someone will buy and carry on our lovely Retreat.
