A good event brief does not need to have every answer.

Clever or creepy? 👀

Event technology is getting very good at understanding attendees.

Facial recognition can make things genuinely easier. Faster check-in, smoother registration, less friction at the door.

But what happens when the technology moves beyond recognising who is there and starts interpreting how they feel?

Which session held attention. When engagement dropped. Whether the room looked interested, distracted or bored.

Useful data? Potentially.

But just because we can measure something, does that mean we should?

For us, good event technology should make the experience better for the people in the room, not simply give organisers more data.

The process vs the result. 👀

This was Noel Leeming’s conference last year. And right now, we’re back doing it all over again.

The lights are up. The room is empty. Someone’s found a lonely name badge under a table.

Technically, the event is over. But, in our opinion, the good stuff is yet to happen…

- The conversations people are talking about on the way home.
- The product or idea they bring up in Monday’s meeting.
