The Retro Room - B n B The Retro Room is inspired by my love of the 50’s. The room is furnished with a Queen bed with quality linens. Parking is beside the suite out of street view.

In Pyes Pa, 5 min walk to Pyes Pa Shops, Close to Copper Crest, Althorp and Grace hospital The guest suite is situated in Pyes Pa and is the only downstairs room with its own private entry and ensuite. You may choose your pillow from the pillow library or bring your own if you wish. The rate includes a continental breakfast that you may have in your room, at your private patio or within the garden. Alternatively you main join the family and our 4 legged son for family chaos upstairs. A jug and toaster are available in the suite, if like me you like to enjoy your first coffee of the day in silence. The room has a small bar fridge, microwave and 32inch smart tv so you can get your netflix fix. Enjoy a stroll thru the parklike subdivision to the local Pyes Pa shopping centre less than 5 mins walk away. Here you will find a collection of amazing eateries and takeaways, supermarket, artisan bakery, pharmacy, dentist and doctors surgery as well as the local flex fitness gym if you are a member. Entry to your room is via a flat path with one step into the room from the Patio. We are across the valley from Copper Crest Retirement Village and very close to Althorp Village, Grace Hospital and a 5 minute drive to the Tauriko shopping centre and business district. Tauranga CBD is 15 mins drive away or you may take a bus from Pyes Pa Rd. The Tauranga Airport is a 25 min drive and maybe 30 mins to the beautiful white sand beaches of Mt Maunganui. Rotorua is 45 mins down SH 36, with the Tect Park 20 mins south.

Our local dog groomer Cherie is a drop off point for the Love Grace Handbag Appeal New Zealand. Also she makes Leo look smashing every six weeks. Such a great cause to get behind.

Spring is upon us😍. I was in the vicinity today, so just had to do a wander around Greerton Village, Tauranga. The sight of this long stretch of cherry blossom on Chadwick Road is such an uplifting tonic. Once again as it always has, winter's given way to renewal and the bursting forth of new life as days grow longer and warmer. (PS. The sharp eye will see (through the wonders of AI) that I have removed the rego plate from the front car).

Along with these places, there is althorp village and to a lesser degree our street. Come to Tauranga this week and enjoy the blossoms. Ps the 3 trees outside the room are coming into bloom too and look lovely from the outdoor seating.
