It’s been a while since I last posted, so here’s a brief recap of what’s been going on since then.
I’ve been very busy with hosting guests - so good to have overseas visitors back again!🥰
I’ve again earned top ratings: Superhost status with AirB&B and the Travellers’ Review Award from Booking.com. These are each organisation’s highest rating awards.
And yesterday was the Woodville Horticultural & Industrial Society’s 138th Annual Show, whereat I again managed to collect several certificates for the quality of my home produce that is fed to guests. Somewhat fewer than usual, but this reflects my lower number of entries, this year, thanks to poor weather limiting the garden’s productivity and being too busy to do the usual baking!

I’ve done it, again! I’ve kept my top rating with Airbnb.com!🏆🥳☺️
I also have a top rating with Booking.com🎖
Considering that these ratings are based solely on guest reviews, it means people really enjoy staying here🥰

When you’ve been feeding a friend’s cat while they’re away and they give you organic leeks, coriander & this wee cutie, when they get back🥰

Evan just gave me this!🥰

I always ask guests if they have any special dietary requirements.

So far, only one family of guests has required halal meals during their stay. I managed it - to their great pleasure and satisfaction, but this book will undoubtedly make it easier for me to sort out a menu, if and when I’m required to again😋

Tonight, Evan & I dined out at Cafe 88 Woodville.
This was their first night of opening as an evening restaurant. We went along to sample the menu and see if it would be a suitable place to recommend to guests staying with us, here, at Bettina's Homestay Bed & Breakfast.

We can report that it is!😋

The food was delicious and we had a pleasant evening in a packed first night, complete with a performing magician.

After pampering and treating all of our guests, I decided it was time for a little treat for myself.....so we took advantage of local business, Smoke 'n' Wood, hosting a high tea, today and Mum & I dressed up and set off for a little treat, ourselves☺️

On the way back, we dropped in to visit Evan Nattrass, at the The Viking's Haul and to get a couple of outdoor photos.

Following on from the good news of my Travellers’ Award rating, today I had more success with my entries into the annual Woodville Horticultural & Industrial Society Show: three firsts, four seconds and two thirds!🤗☺️

This is the food - the baking, jams, preserves & vegetables that you get to eat when you stay with us, here at Bettina's Homestay Bed & Breakfast😋👍😋
