Pottery Wheels NZ

04/04/2025

We have made the decision to close up our pottery wheel hire business. We have really enjoyed meeting so many of you over the last 5 years and really appreciate you hiring from us. It's been a great little business to run at home whilst the kids were young but now they've grown and we're juggling multiple jobs/activities etc we feel the time is right to finish up. We're very sorry for any inconvenience caused and please note this does not affect any current hires. Thanks again!

We've just updated our available hours to reflect our kids Saturday sports activities so thought it was a good time to let everyone know how our availability works. When you make a booking through our website it will allow you to choose a day and time for delivery or collection. The hours shown are ones that we can commit too but we are usually quite flexible so if another time works best for you just get in contact and we'll find something that works.

Monday - Thursday: 6 - 8pm
Friday: 10am - 2pm and 6 - 8pm
Saturday: 8 - 10am and 2 - 4pm
Sunday: 10am - 4pm

Also, when you go to book there is a delay to when you can start the hire of 12 hours so if you need to get a wheel quickly just get in touch and you may be able to collect earlier.

Happy Potting!

We've had a busy start to the year and it's been so wonderful meeting so many potters at all stages of the journey! We love to hear and see what people are making. One of our current hirer's shared this photo with us of the beautiful creations she has been making. We're so impressed with all the different clays being used and styles being made and love getting a glimpse into what people are making. Thank you Keegan!

We're excited to have a new booking system set up on our website which now allows you to view availability and book in for the dates you want! We hope this (along with the arrival of new wheels!) allows more people to have access to and hire our wheels. It also means you can think ahead with your bookings and time to coincide with classes, birthdays, events etc

We've currently got plenty of wheels available for hire so it could be perfect timing for families to enjoy over the school holidays or those enrolled in a pottery class in term 4 wanting to practise what they're learning at home.

Bookings can be made directly on our website using the link below or by contacting us at [email protected].

Just an update to let you know that all our pottery wheels are currently out on hire and we have started a wait list. Often we get more enquiries as we approach the school holidays. We also appreciate it is hard to find a wheel available on our website at the moment so if you are wanting to hire a wheel please get in contact at [email protected] so we can add you to the list. Also, if you do get in contact and don't hear back from us please check your junk mail as sometimes the responses end up in there unfortunately. In other news, we do have some more pottery wheels arriving shortly and are looking to make some changes to our website to make booking easier! Mānawatia a Matariki and Happy Potting!
