We’ve got a spot opening ASAP to join our little hostel family as a cleaner & reception superstar (Thursday–Sunday).
✨ Live-in position (sorry, no couples)
🕒 Roughly 16 hours/week – great if you’ve got a night job!
🌞 Nearly the whole week off for summer adventures!

Today’s Feel-Good Story 🥹
A legend in Christchurch found two backpacks dumped by a river and inside was our Mountain View Backpackers late check-in letter, so he called us, here in Wanaka!
With a bit of detective work, we tracked down the guests that had stayed with us. Sadly the bags had been stolen, but thanks to this absolute good Kiwi, they got most of their belongings back 🙌
Shout-out to Glen, who even drove to return the bags to where they were staying! Dad hat well and truly on 🧢💛

Does any one have pigs they would like additional food for or a giant compost bin? Or backpackers often have a lot of food waste and we try and keep it out of landfill! 🐷❤️
