We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 5.30pm, at The Oaks Hotel, Wellington. We are a vibrant and friendly club that embraces fellowship and community service. You are most welcome to join us for our meetings. Our formal meetings are on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month. Venue : West Plaza Hotel, Wakefield Street, CBD Wellington
Time : 5:30 pm for a 6 pm start. Our informal meetings is on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday which usually be a meeting at a pre-arranged venue. theatre, work place visit, a restaurant or another place of interest)

It's the final week of Bee in the City, and we're celebrating by giving away TWO fantastic prizes!

Our sponsored bee pained by Cecily Guarrera is on display right outside our Rotary home on Courtney Place, so there's still time to find it and enter our competitions.

Brought to Wellington by Life Flight, this fantastic trail has brought colour and creativity to Pōneke. Our Club is proud to be part of the buzz, sponsoring a beautiful bee painted by the very talented local artist Cecily Guarrera!

Inspiring the Next Generation: A Night of Science, Opportunity & Community

At Tuesday's club meeting, we were delighted to welcome 11 visitors, outnumbering our own club members in attendance! It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm and a packed room.

The evening was a fantastic opportunity to hear from two inspiring young women, Natalie Pearson and Jade Nafatali, who shared how their experiences at programmes supported by our club have broadened their horizons and helped shape their futures.

🌟 Natalie Pearson from Wellington Girls' College shared her experience at Innovative Young Minds (IYM), reflecting on the opportunities, insights and inspiration she gained through the programme.

🔬 Jade Nafatali from Wellington East Girls' College gave us a wonderful presentation about her time at the 2026 Rotary National Science and Technology Forum. She shared highlights from her two weeks in Auckland, including hands-on science experiences, lasting friendships and how the Forum helped shape her future aspirations.

We're especially proud that Jade has been invited back to the 2027 Forum as one of just 16 student advisors – a wonderful recognition of her leadership and contribution.

We were proud to sponsor both Natalie and Jade, helping them access these incredible opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills and discover what might be possible for their futures.

🐝 We also welcomed several guests redeeming their complimentary visitor passes after finding our Bee in the City bee, alongside friends and family of our speakers and other visitors who joined us for the evening.

It was a genuinely rewarding night, and we're thrilled to see such interest in our club and the opportunities we help create for young people in our community.

A huge thank you to Natalie and Jade for sharing their stories with us. Their enthusiasm and achievements are a wonderful reminder of why investing in the next generation matters so much! 💛

🐝 And this week’s lucky winner is… Liz McKay! 🎉

Congratulations to Liz, our randomly drawn winner of a Manuka Honey Prize Pack! 🍯 As luck would have it, Liz was attending our Rotary meeting last night using her complimentary visitor pass, so we were able to surprise her in person!

We also heard from some passionate guest speakers, who we’ll share more about later this week.

🐝 A different kind of buzz for our weekly club meeting! 🍯

Last night, our members swapped our usual meeting for a bit of a bee hunt! 🐝🔎

We headed out around Wellington to see how many of the Bee in the City bees we could track down in an hour, before buzzing over to Indian Alley to enjoy dinner together. 🍛

While the weather wasn't exactly bee-autiful, it didn't dampen our spirits! ☁️ It was great spotting so many of the incredible bees around Welly, sharing our favourites with each other (with a special mention for Cecily's painted bee, which we're proud to have sponsored! 💙🐝).

We also couldn't help wondering how much these amazing creations might bee worth when they go under the hammer at the upcoming Bee in the City Auction! 💰🍯

All in all, it was a bee-rilliant way to spend the evening, exploring Wellington, enjoying a great dinner together, and discovering more of the amazing artwork buzzing around our city! 🐝💙
